LITERARY BIO

Angle writes novels and short fiction mostly, these days. He started out his literary life as a poet in Wichita, Kansas. He has written one play and several screenplays, all so far unproduced. He won the Random House short fiction contest in 1999 (see the short story reprinted here) and has published more than 20 poems and short prose pieces in literary journals, in addition to thousands of newspaper stories and dozens of magazine articles.



TEACHER BIO

Angle is a highly motivated teacher with superior communications skills and high student evaluations. He has taught at UCI, OCC, GWC, Saddleback College, Coastline CC, and LA Trade Tech, among others. During his 20 years in education, he has taught creative writing, journalism and English composition.




PR BIO

Angle is a public relations consultant in the Los Angeles area, where he has been in business since 1986. His clients have included semiconductor equipment manufacturers, management consultants, turnaround experts, healthcare providers, nonprofits, medical equipment manufacturers and environmental consultants, among others.


JOURNALISM BIO

Angle was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize his first year as a reporter, for a series on water pollution in York County, PA. During his 12 years as a newspaper reporter and editor in Kansas, Pennsylvania, and Southern California, he won a number of other journalism awards, including an Honorable Mention in the Thomas L. Stokes Award.
